Nathan started playing music at 18, and quickly became interested in recording. In his early twenties he started recording his own projects and doing live sound for local bands.
At this point he moved to Florida and attended Full Sail Center for the Recording arts, studying sound engineering and studio maintenance, and also a seminar on studio design with John Storyk. After breaking himself in on some better paying sessions, he designed and built Groovesonics studio.
Next was “Chaos in Taos”, Nathan’s first album which he wrote, mixed and co produced, as well as played guitar on. All while his wife Paymaneh was busy with two new additions to the family, Katya and Dascha. With two young children, Nathan took a break from the studio and spent two years of intense guitar training with Rock Lockyer, which allowed him to hone a craft while being around the house with the kids. It was at this point that he decided to take his skills and studio to the next level.
He reconfigured the workflow of the control room, brought in a digital recorder, and made “tight Grip” which he wrote the song, lyrics, engineered, mixed, produced as well as played several instruments. Nathan has worked on projects ranging from rock to rap / hip hop, classical and smooth jazz, folk / singer songwriter and instrumental. He feels very strongly about reaching his musical vision and getting the best sound quality possible, and greatly enjoys helping others with their visions as well.
